Family and Belief:
Hello students, staff, and community! My name is Reginald Crittenden, I was born and raised in Paris, TX. I am married to my beautiful wife of eighteen years, Melizsa. I have four wonderful children, three daughters, and one son who I am proud to say is a blessing to me. I dedicate my life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom I honor and glorify in all that I do.
I attended Delmar Public School from Kindergarten to seventh grade. For my eighth grade year, Delmar consolidated with West Lamar Public school, currently known as Chisum ISD. I attended Paris High School for my freshman year and after four years graduated in June 1990. After high school, I obtain various jobs trying to determine my path in life.
I attempted to attend college in 1991, but I was not ready. I tried again in 1994 and my mindset was not focused on school. After working in Corporate America another five years and going through many hardships, God blessed me to attend Paris Junior College in the fall of 1999 where I received my Associates Degree in Science after transferring to Texas A&M Commerce to complete my hours. At Texas A&M Commerce, I majored in Kinesiology and minored in Sociology. I later obtained my Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University in Theology. I entered into the principalship program at Lamar University to obtain my principal certification. I plan to begin my Doctoral studies in 2020, which will complete three-quarters of my educational journey.
For two years, I work as a substitute teacher for Dallas ISD, where I found my niche for teaching. Two years later, I became a teacher here at Inspired Vision Elementary. I have been with Inspired Vision for eleven years and taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. I was named teacher of the year in 2016 and wore many hats at Inspired Vision, such as the Yearbook Coordinator, Step Team Coach, Teacher Mentor/Coach, and New Teacher Orientation Facilitator. I am currently the Assistant Principal and I look forward to what the years may bring.
